PokerStars Bonus Code

Online poker enthusiasts can consider themselves lucky because there are many sites made for bringing people together from around the world and placing them around the felt. However, it's difficult to find one quite so giving as the PokerStars Download, which is now awarding up to $600 as a signing bonus when you join up with them. That's right - they GIVE you money to play cards! It's just a matter of typing in the pokerstars marketing code 'STARS600' when you make your first real-money deposit.

Is this too good to be true, you may be asking? It's a reasonable concern. After all, no one in the poker hands order business these days just gives things away for free - there's always an ulterior motive, always a reason they try so hard to get your hard earned cash.

This is specifically what PokerStars.com's idea is. They are depending on your love of the game to keep you playing. See, they don't offer the full $600 Pokerstars bonus in an immediate, lump sum amount. When you play, you collect PokerStars bonus clearing FPPs, or Frequent Player Points. For each 170 FPPs you receive, $10 of your bonus will be released. You can place this in your bank account or use it to keep playing at PokerStars.com, free of charge.

It's not quite as straightforward as this, either. You are required to deposit $600 into your real-money account at PokerStars before you're eligible for the $600 bonus. If you only deposit $300 into your account, you are only offered $300 of the pokerstars bonus funds. However, if you then deposit an extra $500, your bonus eligibility will be at $600, which is the most per account you're allowed to receive.

Finally, there is the problem of a timeframe. You have within 90 days of making your first cash deposit to deposit $600 total. You have six months within making your first cash deposit to get the number of needed FPPs to complete the PokerStars bonus clearing. Added up that's 17 * 600 = 10200 FPPs within six months in order to get your PokerStars bonus code cash.

PokerStars has a poker marketing codes FAQ for how FPPs are calculated - check it out here: http://www.pokerstars.com/vip/earn/ . It's not the most clear, but for the new player, this should make it easier to figure out:

* For MTT Poker tournaments, you receive 5.5 FPPs per dollar of entry fee or 8 FPPs for each euro in entry fees.

* For cash games of 8 seats or more, your table earns 6 FPPs per dollar or 8.5 FPPs per euro of "rake" collected per hand (the amount of money Poker Stars removes from the pot as payment), distributed evenly among the players that played in the hand. For instance, if nine people are in the hand and the rake collected is $3.00, the table earns 18 FPPs; split among nine people means each player acquires 2 FPPs.

* For cash games of 7 seats or less, you get 5.5 FPPs for every dollar or 8 FPPs per euro of rake paid, distributed among the people involved.

* For those especially enthusiastic, you can accumulate FPPs at double (after receiving 3000 FPPs in a month), triple (100,000 in a year), or even quintuple (1,000,000 in a year) these rates.

You might decide that the PokerStars Marketing Code is not as good as PokerStars.com initially makes it seem. If you receive 2 FPPs for every hand, you still have to sit through 5100 hands in order to acquire the entire $600, and you have to risk losing more money than that along the way. However, if you enjoy online poker, it's a nice way to get rewarded for playing a game you love at one of the few legal us poker sites.
